Somewhat similar to the prior bottle, but age, storage whatever resulted in a wine that was more disjointed and hot and out of balance. Too bad but maybe fortunate that it was the last bottle

(GUIGAL ST JOSEPH ROUGE) #4; COLOR-great; NOSE-really nice, really heavy dose of black pepper, red kirsch, little dark chocolate, very rounded, little oak coming thru; TASTE-good wine, solid effort, good fruit, intense black cherry, licorice, hint of leather; little lighter than I'd like, elegant, a good bottle, short finish; RP-90; GV-88

remarkably rich and ripe and young, years in. Very easy to drink although getting a little rich as the weather warms
