NSG Central Tasting (Chicago): Such a great, bright and intense nose that is loaded with spice, florals and earth. Very fresh and exuberant palate -- bright red and black cherry with nice meat and spice complexity. A harmonious wine drinking at peak.

Nuits St Georges 1er "Central" Tasting (Chicagoland IL): Mature black cherry with roasted meat and woodsy spice in Avery harmonious, balanced package. Very good length. I’m rarely a fan of 1995s these days, but we’ve now had two great NSG 1er 1995s these past two tastings.

A completely different wine compared to a year ago. Full bodied, lots of fruit and rather soft tannins. Very good and can probably last a few more years.

Time hasn't been good to this wine. Brownish red in color, somewhat muddy looking. The nose has a good bit of barn funk and leather. There's not a lot of fruit left. Lots of tannin but light acid. Well over the hill.
