This is all fruit right now - no distinguishable feel of the tannins (they may be there, but this wine doesn't really have a mouthfeel). I get layers of bright red fruit with strawberry, raspberry, cranberry, and others. This is a fun wine without being super heavy; I would stay away from pairing this with a steak and lean more towards herb roasted chicken or pork loin.

Traci cracked this bottle and had a glass on Thursday night and a glass on Friday night...I took a couple of sips both nights so here's my impression.
Night one - big, sweet dense dark fruit like plum and blackberry compote. Earthy, iodine/meaty characteristic. Wine is dense and chewy still but no impression of heat at all. Just a big hedonistic drink of wine.
Night two - it's still retaining some sweet fruit but very settled down. Same flavor characteristics as night one but less intensity which is a good thing...
A tasty bottle of $25 wine IIRC...look forward to a sip tonight to see how it performs.

This hasn't changed much in the last 18 months (since we had our other bottle) but I also don't think that it has the balance to last very much longer. The high alcohol content is starting to show through a bit. It is still pleasant to drink but easily overpowers just about any food you want to match with it.
