Takes a good hour to open up. Soft, subtle red fruited palate with sous bois notes. Gentle and caressing, en finesse. Lovely, mature Burgundy, a treat to drink now. No hurry.

Prior comments by unlucky holders of bad bottles could not be more misleading. My first taste of several pristine bottles stored under perfect conditions for ~13 yrs leads to a very different experience: bright fruit, soft tannins in perfect balance, good complexity. This bottle was a reminder of the wonderful world of well made burgundy! Enjoyed over a 2 hour period after decanting away sediment with roast chicken, followed by great cow & sheep cheeses (Piave & Ixtara)...no need to wait on remaining bottles as prime time to consume is now.

The color reminds me of heavily diluted strawberry juice, that's how thin it is. Upon opening, no aromas, no nothing. But then, after 20 mins in a decanter, aromas of wild strawberry and earth pops out. As usual, it is easy to get fooled by the color of JM Morey's reds. The intensity and the purity of the fruit is stunning and it comes with a stony, dusty minerality which is tremendous. So refined and elegant this wine, a joy to drink. A finely knit tannic structure suggest many more years of life and evolvement. For me a wow wine. Bought for $20. Someone's loss, my gain.
