  • Popped and poured. Medium red w perhaps a touch of browning on the edge. Unlike the last bottle this is quite clean on the nose w sous-bois and herbs and some airy red fruits. Medium weight on the palate with some tannins on the finish; very un-California in its restraint and savory, earthy notes . I think this may still need some time to resolve; nice wine.

  • As with the 05, this is a decent 1er Cru Burg but way overpriced. A little tart with a touch of earth mixed with some iodine notes. Finish is decent and opens up a bit with air.

  • Popped and poured. Initially - VA and a Burgundian stink; this rapidly dissipated. Medium red with some bricking; on the palate quite high-toned with red fruits and excellent balance. A slight off-note on the finish which I can't identify; will see how it evolves. Just seems a bit weird with off flavors.
