Last of 3 bottles over the past few months. A slightly coarse wine, darker fruit with some stewed notes. Tannic, but less so than some '93s. Wouldn't seek out more of this wine.

Bryan's Burgundy Lunch (Medlar, Chelsea): No formal note but this wine punched way over its weight, with a lovely red fruited, sous-bois and earthy palate, still going strong with good depth, covering still slightly firm but by no means unripe tannins, and a good length, fresh, savoury finish. Lovely.
