  • Beautiful nose of "terre", very black fruit, characoal, sandalwood, cedar... taste is sappy "cerises du Nord", crispy red berries, loads of nice and dry tannins, finishing on a superbrefreshing acidity.... Great great wine with roasted steak!!

  • Gigantic wine with the stuffing to carry it. Not for the AFWE. Had very interesting menthol/anise/butterscotch note that I can only recall having experienced in a CH Astralis. Seems like this wine should last for decades. Big dark fruit and spice notes too. Not easy to pair. Memorable.

  • As it is now it may not be my favorite style of wine but it is really impressive.
Darkly colored with an intense and youthful nose featuring loads of toasty oak,
dark fruit, minerals, aniseed, espresso roast, it is also full bodied as expected, a little
too sweet for my taste but with intensity, complexity and length. I am not sure how
well it goes with food but on its own with small nibbles it is very hedonistic.

  • Very dark opaq. On day one the nose was oak-dominated with scents of volatility. On day 2 it was fantastic, with dark plums, chocolate, creamy oak, smoke, sweet spice and minerality. Full-bodied with textbook, velvety tannins, rich fruit, balancing (medium to high) acidity ana a medium-long aftertaste. Needs further cellaring or prolonged decanting to express itself. Hedonistic wine.

  • A deep ruby colored wine that is beautiful, layered, and complex from start to finish. Nose seems a bit closed but shows black fruit, spice, and earth. Palate shows black fruit, sweet spice, a tiny bit of black pepper, espresso, and a rich mid-palate that sings. Finish is long. This is a gorgeously beautiful wine that will develop beautifully over time.
