Savoury burgundy, nice structure, still some good tannin. Just a little plain, as Monthélie unfortunately often seems to be. Lacks mid palate richness.

(at Gramercy Tavern – NYC) True ruby with a hint of pink. Strong meat and red fruit on the nose with sweet/sour spice. A bold but thoroughly wonderful nose. Elegant yet filling palate that is currently shy but very pure. This is only going to get better. I like it a bunch. (90)
