  • Disgorged in late 1970s, made from single varietal of PN. Deep golden colour. Profound and perfumed intensity aroma of seashells, caramelized apples, honey, butterscotch, creme brulee, caramel, touch yeast. Medium+ body, just as rich as aroma with acacia perfume, peaches, honey, creme brulee, mushroomy and chalky hints, steely high acidity, creamy structure, very fine lazy mousse.

  • 🥂Henriot Rose Noir
(Disgorged in the late 1970s, 100% Pinot Noir)
Golden yellow colour with a slow stream of bubbles rising in the glass. Maturity on the nose showing honey and some dried fruit at first before opening up with tangerine and some lovely milk chocolate and creamy notes in a delicious way. Still very fresh on the palate with a smoothing acidity combined with butterscotch notes and some cream before the lengthy finish showing orange zesty bitterness in a very positive and pleasant way. This was a perfectly stored bottle and a wonderful example of a mature Blanc de Noirs, just excellent!
(Still showing lots of freshness with 45+ years of post disgorgement)

  • (Disgorged in the mid-90s)
So delicious with a mature non-vintage champagne like this showing an explosion of notes like roasted coffee, hazelnuts and flint on the intense nose combined with a creamy and citrus driven palate.

  • Bottle from the 70s. Beautiful gold with a hint of red. Decadent sweet nose displaying apricot, orange marmalade, raspberry candy, honey, smoke, crème brulee and mineral. Fully integrated palate, sweet concentrated yellow fruit, still showing generous mousse, mouth puckering acidity, strong mineral and a long sweet yellow fruit and honey driven finish. This is a relatively straightforward champagne that has been well stored. The complexity is coming from a long term ideal cellaring. A great lesson!
