Easter Sunday opened two hours in advance. It has been over two years since I last tried a bottle.. Dark fruit on the nose. The palate is dark berries, cherry, plum, graphite and hints of spice leading to a moderately long finish.

When I received this as a gift from my brother in law, he told me to age it. I obeyed.
And he was wise. This is a perfect mix of bold and mellow, structure and elegance. There's a deep core of dark fruit, black licorice and a touch of oak, and it's just really enjoyable. In a great spot now.

Thought I had finished all these but found this one and we drank it in an “Aussie battle” over Cambodian food in VT with an Amon Ra 2005 Shiraz. The group agreed the Dead Arm was the more complete wine with its fruit, spice, tar, structure, etc all in balance, whereas the Amon Ra was a bit sweet.

Good and not over the hill; Liz slightly disappointed with the fruit

A bit more primary than expecting. Good but not what I was hoping for. Red ripe fruit, spices, subtle savory elements.
