P&P. Color straight up ruby, medium-light body. Medium depth bouquet of strawberries, a few cherries, cola, and oak. Same flavors on the palate, with a finish that has significant oak. Simple, straightforward, and I agree with other reviewers that the '05 had more to offer. Although it is true the price is reasonable at 17, there seems to be a market for "bargain" pinot's under 20, which one would expect to create competition for them to do better than ordinary. WL for example currently has more than 40 PN's under $20 to choose from.

Don't know what all the negative notes are about. This is a pretty good reasonably priced Pinot. Nothing too serious here, but good clean varietal flavors. A very pleasant wine.

Not much on the nose, some cherry... Cherry and some pomegranate fruit flavors but just good and not overly interesting. Decent quaffer when purchased on sale.

while perfectly drinkable, Clone 5 seemed to me rather pedestrian. Nice, fruity pinot noir, but unsophisticated and somewhat blase. Consider it for standard fare, but not one I'd take to a party or give someone as a gift. Previous ratings and tasting notes just don't make sense to me; perhaps I had a different wine? YOU WANT SOMETHING SPECIAL? Trend toward something special, Like Williams Selyem, Davis Bynum, Russian Hill Estate, J. Rochioloi, or Lynmar. There!! You now have the P.N. Holy Grail. Find and enjoy them!

fairly basic, works as a mid-week wine.
