Tasted vis-a-vis Pira Marenca, this came out as a winner on the night. Surprisingly open, rich, fruity, in perfect balance. Red berries, hints of chocolate, tar, ripe fruit, in a perfect spot. No hurry at all, no need to keep it either. #JR&Co

Lovely fresh notes on the herbier, more floral side of the nebbiolo spectrum- some rose, fennel, menthol. A fresher, more transparent showing. Pretty, but not fully open and slightly less expressiveness and intensity than I would have liked or expected.

Awful nose of acetone did not blow off even with 3 hours in the decanter. The wine itself in the mouth was somewhat enjoyable but the chemical aroma was hard to ignore.

WCC Barolo and Barbaresco Dinner (The Chef's Table at Cafe Capriccio, Albany, NY): [Double-decanted at 1pm.] Muted nose of ripe fruit. Black fruit and chocolate. Savory. Elegant.
