Last bottle from a six pack - drank over close to a decade (the six pack, not this particular bottle). Very vinous, totally different style to the Pierre Gimonnet Special Club that we also had - this was fruity, riper... a food wine, for sure.

Clear light yellow, light mousse. Great nose, brule, bread dough, baked apple, pastry and a hint of saffron. Tasty dry creamy apple and butterscotch flavours and a long dry finish.

Drank this with odds in NYC with travel friends. Tiny bubbles. Apples. Hazelnut. It's very tasty. This is still one of my favorite Champagnes (at any price)!!

Very elegant with red apple and yeasty bread dough. Beautifully paired (by Coop) with an Aspasie.
