Wonderful bottle, one of the best of this purchase yet. Beautiful ripe fruit, leaning from bramble into strawberries. Secondary flavors of baking spice and wood. Long smooth finish. Magical pairing with Etta's roasted salmon and a foraged wild mushroom risotto.

Very enjoyable, but fruit has wound down, with secondary flavors predominant. Did not get the overripe and alcohol on opening at all. Tannins resolved. A good pairing with a rich roasted turkey and trimmings.

Quite excellent in late '18 - rich and ripe, with nice secondary characteristics showing up. Blind I might take this for a Burgundy. Generally balanced, perhaps a touch sweet, but certainly the whole package going strong later than you might expect.

Best bottle yet. The extra time has improved the wine in all ways. Not overly ripe, much more balanced, smooth tannins, red bramble fruit flavors. Very complex nose of earth, mushrooms, raspberries, oak spice, and black cherries. Worth the wait!
