  What a pleasant surprise! This bottle was forgotten for a while and is well past its "drink by" date, but it was intact and really quite good. Fabulous QPR. Don't tempt fate; drink up!

These Carlisle zins definitely improve with age and are a breed apart--and this an entry level bottle at $23.

  Just a terrific bottle of wine. Very finessed, with any rough edges smoothed out after 5 or 6 years in the bottle. Violet in color, with some black fruit jam and a nice long finish.

  Might be time to drink up. A lot of alcohol on the nose at first. As the wine opened up, the aromas gave way to a bit of cedar and cigar. The flavor of dark fruit and plums finished with a bit of an earthy funk.
