  Very expressive on the nose with notes of violet, leather and tobacco but what was so striking about this wine was how incredibly complex and long it was while retaining a very light touch and perfect balance. Beautifully aged Bordeaux.

  Showing some age, (might be storage, not my cellar ) but still a very nice cigar box note and sun-dried tomatoes. Quite supple. This bottle needed to be consumed

  Low neck level. Cork removed intact with about 1/8 purple stained and some crumbling of the cork but no evidence of any seepage. Initial nose (and taste) of sour cherry and some funk which took a couple of hours to blow off and see the wine settle down. Color - deep to opaque ruby garnet/translucent edge/no bricking. Slow ox. After about 3 hours beautifully balanced 'bordeaux' nose with dark fruit, spice, forest floor, tobacco/humidor, and mint. Palate showing dark fruit, lead pencil, and spice with medium length, silky mouthfeel, and ending with soft but grippy tannic finish. Wine is very good -> excellent, with elements in balance, but not exceptional. Overall, one point better than last year. Better, more complex, nose noted versus prior bottle.

  Exceptional. Perfect balance. Deep ruby. Opulent nose. Still has at least 10, if not more, years.
