Opened 3-4 hours befored drinking. Dark garnet. Muted nose. Very concentrated, medium bodied, soft and velvety texture. Dark cherry, forest floor and some finely balanced acidity, medium + finish. Tannins very fine and completely integrated. Will develop more complexity but a lovely drink now.
Very solid. Tasted after this had been open for approx. 24 hours. Nice and pure. Raspberry, darker fruit. Good concentration. Some secondary development. Smoky. Good concentration bolstered by acidity leading to good finish. I do not see this having depth and concentration to last for decades but this is drinking well now and should continue to do so for years to come.
first day was extremely primary -- dark fruit, very concentrated. saved some for day two and it was a beautiful wine. acid driven, with still nice black fruit profile, and black pepper. smoky notes on the med(+) finish.
