WOTN for sure. It opened a bit musty, but quickly came into itself. Nice and darker fruits and a more muted approach. Very well balanced. Good acid. Age was perfect.

Bottle, fill and cork all good. The wine was dark red with plenty of muscle, but not at all attractive. This had a sour boullion character that would not blow off. I suppose this bottle was flawed and not representative.

Medium red-garnet, much bricking, heavy sedimentation. Earthy and fully mature nose, principally leather and mixed garrigue with modest raspberry. On entry, lively acidity (surprising for such a warm dry harvest and strict selection) and low tannin support beef broth and green peppercorn flavors. Not much fruit in the tangy finish, but the finish is where this wine shines today. Drink now, this bottle is far more mature than the one from a year ago. Bottle #9 of twelve.

Musky, sweaty, funky, horse, barnyard smells. Stewed strawberries, ripe old mature red fruit, showing acidity, supple tannins, aged and possibly lethargic. Otherwise still drinking well.
