Lost bottle in cellar! Gold in color. Expressive aromas of buttered popcorn, honeysuckle, pineapple, vanilla and citrus zest. Thick and viscous on the palate showing ripe peach and pineapple marmalade, toast, good acidity and a long buttery and honeyed finish. What an upside surprise. A well stored 16 year old CA chard that is true to its terroir and has managed to age very well. The sugary taste has receded to the background and it shows a Batard like character!!
