Drinking a touch young to me. Beautiful perfumed nose with spice, dark fruit, and just a faint/pleasant sour tar note. The nose suggests a richer palate than shows up, and in the end the palate is a bit of a disjointed affair. Medium-bodied with some chalky minerality but the fruit never seems to make a statement. Medium to medium-long, somewhat bright finish with a bit of fine tannins. Could be better in a couple years. Not a great QPR, at least as it's drinking today. Update: did not improve the second day, and with this and a 2004 Gouges Pruliers open, I've been going to the Pruliers, which really surprises me given my past experience (negative/odd) with the Pruliers.

A great example of a reasonable priced wine with a great producer. 9 years old, this wine still has mild tannins, dark fruit and held well with grilled ribeye.

Terrific time to drink this wine. Dark color and the nose climbed out of the glass while pouring. Lovely hints of cherry, vanilla, and subtle olives. The wine was very well integrated and the finish was long and rewarding, with darker fruit and the vanilla openning at the end.

Well balanced with dark fruit, vanilla, smooth tannins and long finish. Drinking great right now. Wish I had another bottle.
