Dark brambly fruit, bordering stewed fruit. Dank earthiness, crushed flowers after the rain. Not bad, acidity is still lively, but fruit profile is a little off putting.

Dark with a good edge of brown in the glass, indicating that the wine is relatively developped. The nose is quite strong. Without decanting, the wine showed first rather tertiary/plummy, but after a while came better together, with pronounced acidity. Seeing previous TN’s, this wine has kept fairly nice, but is on the decline and should be drunk up.

On the downhill path, I fear. The fruit is still there, all meat and blood and earth, but the acidic backbone has become more prominent. Still enjoyable, but I wouldn't wait much longer. vg

A bit murky color - developed brown edge. Nose full of pepperoni (yes - the pizza-kind. A first for me!) and smoke. Palate of muted fruit and plenty of developed notes, such as cedar-wood, tobacco and coffee-grind. Medium finish. Drink now.
