  I am a true believer in old Napa and this was no different. Certainly a different fruit profile for the other wines on the table, but really quite lovely. Hint of fir. A bit deep and intense. The intensity of this was just right for the wine though. Clearly in a nice drinking window, but without any hurry to drink up.

  This is a surprise indeed. This is one of those rare aged Napa cabs where its age is apparent by just how resolved, defined and relaxed everything is, but there is nothing faded whatsoever. If tasted blind one might think it's ten years old, not 25! This has gorgeous blackberry fruit, along with the hint of menthol that one sometimes finds with Heitz, and is very welcome. There is a hint of spice and gummy-bear on the finish - all just adding a bit of complexity. Nothing is awry.

  Fantastic surprise! Well aged... beautiful color, bold Cabernet fruit on the nose. Refined Cabernet flavors on the palate leading to a smooth, elegant finish.

  Justo en medio entre lo que supone un CS vetusto y un anciano respetable del valle de Napa.
  Aromas muy limitados en nariz si no lo meneaste violentamente durante toda la comida. Con tiempo y aire aparecen olores a carne, menta y frutos negros.
  Mejor comportamiento en boca, sabrosa y bien larga. Bebible y disfrutable.
  Muy bien acompañando unos riñones de cordero ligeramente salteados
  Si son vinos, los prefiero bien envejecidos.
