Enjoyed this at Berns. No signs this is 40 years old. I guess there is some browning at the edge. Some bramble and garigue. Bright cherry fruit. Good tannic grip.

OMG #104 (Plymouth, MI): 13% alcohol. Nose was all campfire smoke, but the palate showed gorgeous dried red fruit (raspberry and cherry) with very good length. Had no idea Côtes du Rhône could age this gracefully!

Wet crumbly cork, garnet red with mild browning edge;stewed red cherry, strawberry nose; mild tannin's, soft body, light plum notes on the palate; med long finish;amazing wine, I almost didn't taste it due to age/wet cork. Never give up!

In remarkably good shape with only a bit of oxidation coloring the edges, like an old book whose pages have frayed. Still shows some peppery, earthy, plum character amongst it all.

This bottle was glorious, free from oxidation, a driven by rubbed herbs and dried blood. A deeply savory wine at this point but what a marvel!
