I really do like this wine. It is still leaner style but I gave it a 60 minute decant which it needs. Bright acids, but lovely elegant aromatics. Violet, menthol. Fine light tobacco. I am not sure it will get much better but it certainly won’t get worse so I will keep my last few bottles for a few years. I like this style. The opposite of a blockbuster and it likes the food.

1st btl almost 7yrs ago. This has come along quite nicely since. Opened 3hrs ahead. Slow-oxed in 2 Burg glasses & btl leading up to dinner. Semi-opaque ruby center w/ lightening on rim. Intriguing aromas of meat, iron-earth & trace red berries. Nicely resolved & fairly weightless for syrah w/ decent lift & elegance. Palate offers subdued red fruit buttressed by mineral, licorice, tar, meat & other classic syrah notes. This is in its mid-term drinking wdw & quite good now. I'll likely save my last btl till 2025+. A modest 12.5% alc is appreciated! 91+ Excellent value here for $47 on release. Enjoyed it very much for a change but nothing will ever make me gaga over syrah:).

Very good. None of the barnyard funk others are experiencing. Classic Rhône Syrah with a bit of age, some secondary development in the savory, briny school. Tasty and balanced, mid-weight plus.

Lovely with notes of hay, sweet pepper, and lingering fig. Great accompanied to the rabbit.

Another very tasty bottle of this wine; leathery, salty, umami, nicely textured. Hint of fruit that is very decidedly a complementary note.
