  Very pretty nose with mature flavors of red fruit, leather, a hint of dill pickles, and bright red fruit. Good acidity with cherries, more leather, underwood, a hint of vanilla, and red berries on the palate. Nice finish. This is in a perfect place right now. I don't expect this to get any better but I'm pretty sure it will drink well for a long time.

  So good but nowhere near peak. Baked cherries and sugar plums, cedar, eucalyptus, warm clay, iodine, jasmine. A little bit of dried porcini. Nice merger of primary and secondary characteristics. Beautiful length. Medium acid. Delicious wine.

  Served blind and frankly we all thought this was cote rotie/ hermitage wine with its smoky , herby side. Meaty wine, not real feel of rioja hallmarks like American oak but it did have a lot of ripe fruit even for a Reserva. well evolved , well secondary and at now probably coming to the end of tit s good days and we would suggest one drinks sooner than later. 92

  Like most wines from this producer, it aged well and shows good character and balance. Drink up.
