  I thought this was rather subdued and if I'm honest a little disappointing. Improved over a couple of days but never hit the high spots of the lovely 85. Perhaps not the perfect bottle.

  Weekly tasting group RWP #273: 4 flights of 3 wines with a link (@ BS): Beautiful and refined bouquet with a soft toast. On the palate ripe dark and red berries, some sweetness, soft tannin, some leather, animals, beautiful complexity, good acidity and in fact still some future. Beautiful and mature wine.

  Lovely medium aged Cote-Rotie, with great length and persistence of flavour, but not overly rich. Herbal, undergrowth scents on the nose initially, opening up to soft spiciness. Lovely clean acid and good length. At its peak now, and will hopefully remain there for some years.
