  • From a lovely looking bottle with a 3 cm fill, this wine had a red center and light tawny rims. The medium- intensity nose generated cherry, tan spice, mineral, and pomegranate notes.

In the mouth, this wine was relatively refined but beautifully balanced. It was rather shy at first and took several hours to ramp up its intensity. It showed rounded tannin and firm acidity.

This wine appears to have avoided the stewed character the impeds many of the 64's. It was attractive and ready.

  • Dinner at Bern's with Bruce and Maynard. This was a Remoissenet exporter bottling. Disappointing. Nice color bu fruit was just about gone. Elegant but no stuffing. Actually, if it were from a poorer vintage I would have rated it higher.
