Consumed over Rack of lamb dinner while skiing. Over 1 week ago, divided 5 ways so limited report.
Not decanted, but opened and sat, and aerated during pour.
Certainly still full of fruit - not an old wine yet, at 17+ years old. Note my bottle reside in a real, Northeast, cellar. Not temperature controlled, but mostly subterranean.
Fairly typical CDP, both red and dark fruit, very subtle tannin, minimal sediment, good though not strong acidity (remaining).
Sorry for abbreviated notes.

Lyon Holiday Open House (Where Else?): Denise's WOTN, it's in a great spot! It has a garnet rim and an open nose that is very savory (like the CSJ it was paired with). A bit of a rustic texture, there's black cherry, garrigue, iodine, and a little "sangre de toro"! Tannins are still holding, now-2027.

Yes, the fruit and acidity were fading, but the balance was still there and the palate was full of lovely CdP notes.
The importer label indicated "12-14%" ABV, which must be a joke. I could believe it was 14%, but not less. The alcohol was there, but it wasn't unpleasant or hot.
The nose is licorice, cranberry, earth, and just slightly sweet. The taste matched, adding herbal notes and perhaps eucalyptus. The fruit was on the drier side, definitely taking a step back with the age.
Overall, this was a pleasing CdP showing good typicity and proper aging.
Sadly, didn't survive the 2 weeks after the initial coravin - too much air :(

Second bottle is much as last year's; primary fading but still there, tertiary present, tannins integrated, acidity is still around... this is in a perfect spot age-wise.
