Did not decant, not sure it would have made any difference. This wine is very impressive, full of life and thriving at ten years of age. Really wish I had more bottles of this vintage ( it seems very special). I've bought Johnson Turnbull in the past as futures and wasn't nearly as impressed as I am with this offering. Everything about it is impressive, the color, the aroma, the legs, the mouthfeel and especially the taste. What a finish - long and enduring. This is one special, estate grown Napa cab.

Cabs are great and the Oakville Region of Napa is one of the best! This 2009 vintage comes up as "consume by 2016". So this is my first of 3 bottle left from a case. I don't agree with the community score, but then, I often have "rebelious" views! Rich and elegant with very soft tannins and a long clinging finish! So glad I have 2 more and I have moved them to my "Kitchen" rack! The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like fig. It tastes like blackberry. The body is medium/full. The wine has polished texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has medium acidity.

Nice, well-rounded cab, with blackberries, cassis, pencil lead and fresh soil. Enjoyable tannins and long finish.

Had it a couple weeks back and forgot most of the details but remember being underwhelmed for an Oakville cab.
