Bottle and fill excellent, cork soaked to the top, but extracted in one piece. Decanted and enjoyed over 2-3 hours. Still fairly dark and no signs of fading. This is a lovely and classic left bank wine with blackberry, plums, dirt and everything one wants in aged claret. Still vigorous and going strong after 2 hours. A little iron and grip on the finish which was perfect with lamb. Fine wine.

top shoulder... cork was ok. garnet/orange color, pale.... bouquet of plums with a metallic/orange edge with elegant mouthfeel...almost burgundian. the wine is past prime probably but the fruit flavors are still there, and body is medium think and the length is ok. And it held together for an hour served with leg of lamb....

No notes taken. Popped and poured at cellar temp while sitting around the fire. This was in surprisingly good shape with a complex nose, and a pleasant taste of dark fruit and mineral. Clearly past prime, but holding on and most enjoyable.

Top shoulder. Quite alive. Nice complexity in nose; ash, black fruit, earth, mushrooms. Much simpler in the mouth, though had really sneaky length. With air became more mineral and iron.

Casual Lunch with Frieds (Restaurant Bü's): Brick color. Nose of leather and berries. Very short in the finish. Acidity highly present. past its prime.
