Stellar. PnP'd. Inky crimson. Tons of fruit, extra full bodied. Never had a Merlot pushing 16% that was so balanced, especially one this age. Could go another 5 years on the drinking window.

Enjoyable but I’ve had better bottles of Pride merlot. This was an auction purchase so prior storage is uncertain. Full bodied and deep purple, like nearly all Pride reds, but this seemed a bit disjointed and had more dark flavors than what I am used to in usual Pride merlot bottles.

After decanting for an hour+, it opened nicely, but was a bit sweet and plum like, a surprise for its age. It paired well with strong smoked barbecue.
