  Mid-Aged Zinfandel and Cali Cab Dinner (Casa Garard - Northfield IL): Tasted double blind in vertical. Rich and ripe black plum and cassis, this wine convinced me the vertical was California. Same profile as the older wines, just fatter and more reliant on richness vs complexity. Others liked this more, but it was my 3rd fav of the 4 vintages.

  Chez Garard older Zinfandels and Cali Cabs: Good fruit, ton of tannin, sweet finish. Long term aging.
