This is drinking really well tonigh with big, forward, red fruit, lots of earth and barnyard, garrigue and a midlength finish. The tannins have softened quite abit since I've last tested it. All in all, quite nice.
After tasting the great wines of 2007 this was a few steps down and I made just limited notes. In the bouquet good garrigue and some horse stable impressions. On the palate red berries, some metal, herbs and some green impressions. For the rest ok acidity and tannin. The wine will benefit with a few more years of ageing. 2017 – 2019? 91 for this evening.
Christmas Day Dinner 2015 at Table At 7 (Table at 7): Same note as before. Initally tight. Opened up nicely with 1.5 hours of air in the bottle. Nice early drinking from the difficult 2008 vintage. Can still develop a bit more over the next 3-4 years. Not for the long haul. Enjoy.
