  • This nearly 20-year-old, well-cellared Châteauneuf was tasted double-blind, with the bottle kindly being provided by the proprietor of Vintage Wines, Ltd. Deep garnet, it follows with a beautiful complex nose of cocoa, plum, coriander and pipe tobacco. The wine is medium-bodied on the palate, with medium acidity, melted tannins and seamless alcohol. The flavors are in line with the nose and remain throughout the solid middle. It concludes with a long, smooth finish. Glorious! Drink now-12/14.
