Popped and poured. Light citrusy nose with some wet rock notes also. Watered down flavour profile. Lots of minerality. The entire palate felt stale. I’ve had worse…

Enough sweetness to overcome spicy food. Some mineral on the finish to make it interesting. Not much depth. Finish is a little off but overall pretty good.

Very good to excellent wine. Dry Reisling with a lot of tart apple, some lychee nuts and other white fruits, with a bit of citrus flower. Noticeable minerality and moderate but not strong acid. Moderate finish. Very light in color, but I've decided you can't really judge color in a restaurant because the lights are always iffy. So far I've had Alsatian, German and Burgundy whites from 2005 along with a barrel sample of a 2005 St. Emillion. This vintage may be all it's cracked up to be.
Bought off the wine list at Koo, a Japanese restaurant in Rye. Only $32, and it's nice to get a good wine off a list at that price. I also recommend the restaurant. Good sushi and good cooked fish for those (my wife) who would never eat raw fish.
