This bottle was drinking great. Last one I had in May not so much. From the reviews seems like lots of variation. Upon opening I could tell this bottle would be fine. Half of bottle decanted, other half slow ox for 7 hours. These old petites need air time. Opaque purple, tight, restrained fruit upon opening. Opened up nicely as the day went on. Pomegranate and cranberry on the nose, violets, hint of rustic petite like dustiness. Bright, medium + acid, suave tannins yet with some grip. I would drink up though could go for a few more years.

Inert. After one hour decant muted, after hour 4 still nothing. Tried a couple different glasses as well. No fruit, no spice, just dry and vacant. Must be an off barrel as this wine should still be holding up. A couple of the last reviews provide similar feedback. I have one more, not sure to open soon or not...
Cannot give this a score as it seems to be an off bottle.

Bought at the winery in 2014. Beautiful ruby color; not a fruit bomb but very good tannins. I wouldn't drink this on its own necessarily but it went very well with braised short ribs.

Frankly, I'd hoped for more from this bottle. Perfectly cellared from new so not sure, other than perhaps bottle variation, why it was a flat uninspiring underwhelming petite. Given it's pedigree it should have been so much more. Let's hope the next bottle will prove differently and can raise the score substantially.

Simply past its prime — my fault.
