Really Like this one. Beautiful light garnet color. Tart Red Cherry nose. Hints of spice amongst the red fruit nose. On the palate, tart red fruit with some wet earth behind it all. Medium complexity with a nice finesse to it. Long finish. Still has some room for age.

A nice Villages, showing the trademark Volnay finesse, though a little past its peak I think. It still had some nice fruit, good balance and a soft texture. Drink Up!

Needed some air but developed nicely. Pleasant fruit and light enough for an array of foods. A good picnic or afternoon wine. Still can go another 2-3 yrs. before it slides.

A really good village Volnay (from declassified 1er Cru Volnay grapes - well sorted after hail destroyed many bunches). Nice and ripe, but with an underlying firmness that will allow this wine to age for 5 years with ease. Juicy, pure cherry fruit. So good with porcini mushroom risotto and a cheese course to follow. A bargain from a meticulous producer.
