Very good unoaked chard. Rich on the palate but elegant and lemony on the nose. I agree a little lift of acid on the end could make this much better, and certainly more typical of a cooler climate chard.

A step above the entry level versions that constitute the ocean of Chardonnay, this cali chard is a little heavy and ponderous but otherwise balanced. Could use more acid to give it lift and spark and a touch of oak wouldn't be entirely remiss either.

(13.5%) This starts fresh and vibrant with Meyer lemons and citric acidity before revealing a fuller bodied structure showing rich apple and pear flavors framed by clean stone notes. From there it turns a touch creamy before delivering a mineral, spiced finish that remains crisp and pleasing. Perhaps my new favorite California Chardonnay and under $20 to boot...
Wine Geek Notes: Whole cluster pressed, fermented with natural yeast, aged six month on the lees in stainless, no oak, undergoes malo, twist-off
