  • Medium garnet in color. Red fruit, raspberry, strawberry, and raw cedar, along with wet forest floor on the nose. On the palate, medium to full, dry, earthy, medium plus acidity, soft kitty claw tannins, almost velvety texture. The bottle is almost at peak of maturity. It could develop more but it's about personal taste.

  • Ruddy, rusty ox-blood in color
    Medium bodied
Red candied nose. Smells like the fair ground. Candied apples, cotton candy.
All red fruit on the palate. Shortish finish.
Excellent wine at its peak. Very nice wine with or without food.

  • First bottle from an OWC bought many years ago. Pnp. Having read some of the mediocre reviews here, and having been disappointed earlier by two of Bouchard's 07 red Grand Crus (Clos de Beze and Le Corton), I was really expecting disappointment here. Initially the wine was showing thin and short, and as I was already feeling reconfirmed that this was another red 07 Bouchard to forget, this started to slowly turn around. This is by no means a wow wine, instead its subtle, but well balanced and accurately drawn. Fine wood spices on the nose, the fruit on the palate is not showing any signs of greenness, and also no tertiary notes yet, so this will last. Medicinal notes. Good concentration and weight in fact. Fine to medium tannins. Good length too.
Not sure this will improve from here but it will certainly last for quite a while. Started in the 88-89 range and ended 92-93, very nice 07!

  • Drank over four hours, no decant.
    Cherry colored, light body
Floral notes red berries, some fruit leather, and tar
Delicate, medium-minus body, tons of cherries, and red fruit. Medium finish. Some iodine. A finesse wine. In its drinking window. Will last several more years at least, but doubt there will be any improvement.

  • Took a long time to open despite it was decanted 2 hours before consumption. Light colour and body, it had a good floral nose but lacked the Les Greves structure to make it a an interesting bottle. Not exceptional.
