Nutty, dried apricot, sultana. Very tertiary in character - savoury. Long finish. Drink now, not suitable for further ageing. Probably over-developed for some palates.

Pop and pour; medium gold color; sweet smell with a dose of honey, honeysuckle, sugared yellow fruits. The palate is unctuos and has some weight to it; got some more honey, some apricots, and some buttery peaches. Nice finish and paired with pasillas. 91+

Guy's St Joseph Offline (RSJ, Coin Street, London): Brighter appearance, medium straw yellow. Nose is at first mute and slightly oxidative, but slowly coming out of its shell to show stone fruit, creamy vanilla, some florals. Medium/full bodied, attractive slightly creamy stone fruits, nice mouthfeel to this and welcome contrasting acidity on the good length finish. Very good and may improve. ***(1/2)

Found a few of these on sale for $10 (normally $45) and opened one with beer can chicken. 665 cases made. 95% Marsanne, 5% Roussanne. Floral nose with roses. Notes of honeysuckle, limestone, peach and hazelnut. Meaty texture and a creamy finish. 90-91 points.
