Tasting the Americans (Chez Nous): Ruby, cloudy and light opacity with a touch garnet around the edges. On the nose is sour and red cherries with ash tray and cola notes. On the palate there is good acidity and the fruit darkens along the profile. This is American in style but if there is anything Burgundian in style it is not the nose but maybe the fruit concentration found in premier and grand crus. Well balanced and long finishing. Delicious.

Just as lovely and adorable tonight as compared to earlier tastings. The 2007 Antica Terra is showing its very best sides tonight with vivid sun warm orange zest, red currant, subtle saddle leather and a perfect tone of rainy deciduous forest. The nose is actually rather stunning and close to profound. The palate has integration as its No.1 keyword and adds very nicely to the overall experience. The balance is striking and the length on the finish lasts a minute or more. Certainly hittings its prime drinking window right now, I am not certain if this effort will last for another 5 or 10 years - but it certainly is a treat tonight. (score is 94+)

Complex and compelling nose. Dark cherries, spice and undergrowth. Palate a little jammy and warm, but still decent drinking. I don't suspect this will get any better from here. (91 Very good wine)

(Antica Terra Pinot Noir) This young beauty, from a challenging Oregon vintage, is still evolving in the bottle. Delicious aromas of dark berries and violets emerge on the nose, with cherries, soy sauce, and five-spice following on the palate. Cult Wines for Tough Times

Delicious. Wild cherry, earth, medium+ length finish. Keeps getting better each time I open a bottle, but only one left!

End of Project Supper 5 (Le Trader, Harris Street, Pyrmont): Stalky, red cherry, cream and vanilla. Quite fleshy on the palate, a little fresh but underpinned by a stalky sourness. Not as good as I remember it.
