Dark ruby. Nose of earth, chocolate, and plum. On the palate fairly viscous with a persistent tannic grip. Flavors of black cherry, black berry, oaky spice with lingering finish. I liked this better on day 2 which makes me want to hold my remaining bottle for a few years.
Very solid bottle of cab. The fruit was very nice but not overly deep/complex, very smooth mid palate, and nice finish. More of an elegant style of cab. Tannins were integrated very well. Decanted for two hours and drank over another two. I personally can't see much of an improvement with more time from this vintage - appears to me that it has peaked or is close to peaking in light of how the tannins are integrated.
