  Not at all representative bottle but this actually drinks very well; very cloudy, brown tawny color, indicating advancement. At this same time this shows authoritative richness in the form of nougat, caramel, leather, brown sugar dustings, dried fruits (prunes) and fudge. Very sweet, soft and rich. A great drink if you were to call it an ancient wine. The softness/sweetness indicates an attractive feel for the ‘73 vintage, maybe? I would score it 91-92. Served blind.

  Beautifull, classy, intense, wild red fruits, fat, roses, feminim. Palate with slightly touches of oxidation but with great weight on the mid palate with a shorter finish then expected but great.

  Le bouchon nous foutu une sale frousse. Il y avait de la terre noire infiltrée entre la capsule et le bouchon. Ensuite, après un exercice de chauffage de goulot avec des pinces en fer forgé, le verre casse (un peu tout croche), et on craint que la bouteille ne s'effrite ! JF réussit à extirper le bouchon et on pousse un soupir de soulagement. Une fois le 30 ml bien compté pour tous, on découvre un nez absolument exceptionnel. Pour moi c'est du jamais vu, et je comprends l'excitation et le mythe qui honore ce domaine. La bouche fait honneur au vin. Il est très clair (limpide) - notamment comparé au Alain Burguet Les Champeaux qu'on buvait cote à cote. Il a encore une belle texture et c'est loin d'être mort. Comme tout les grands vins, il a la qualité de se boire magnifiquement bien. Fait à noter, on y regoûte en toute fin de soirée (il restait l'équivalent d'une cuillère à soupe chacun), et le vin n'avait rien perdu de son charme!
