  • Just idag är jag svag för detta vin. Hela flaskan var underbar!

    Öga: som en klassisk Bdx från ca 2012.
    Nos: ett lätt anslag av oxidation, soya, mylla och CS tillsammans med Merlot.
    Mun: känns oförskämt ung - hur gammal kommer jag vara då våra 2019 är redo att gurglas ned? Nära graven, helt klart… Allt är rätt. Allt ligger fint! Välbyggt, intensivt och otroligt bra vin. Knappt ens något sediment i denna! Långt, komplext (noterade på servetten: jord, kola, clivia (blomman), röda vinbär, nyutslagna björkar, torkat virke, sumi ink, Bdx-jord, färska grönsaker, ruccola (beskan), grjfni (svårläst ord), bacon och blåbär) och intensivt på ett galet underbart sätt.

    Får inte 100p av mig för den saknar "sense of place".

  • Wine is over the hill and degraded quickly at the table. Stewed fruit & acidic.

    Rusty red, full bodied.
    Allspice. Loads of wood. Earthy.
    Super dry. Lots of woody notes. Delicious long lasting finish.

  • My penultimate bottle in the cellar.
    This one was in great shape - and what a wine.
    Almost like a 1:st growth Bordeaux.
    Complex and beautiful nose, lead pencil, gravel, herbs, barnyard, Tuscan earth, cigar box, tobacco, leather and red currant.
    Palate with red and black currants, cherries, spices, earth and green peppers.
    Superb length and balance, far from over any hill, but in a lovely place right now.
    This wine really overachieves.

  • In Magnum. The nose is overwhelmed by vanilla which bothered me from a pure tasting perspective. It hid a beautiful cabernet nose. On the palate the wine is magnificent, with the purity of the cabernet. Silky and elegant. The wine was paired with Pekin duck and oisin sauce, which was perfect as it inhibited the vanilla. Great pairing.
