Bluey purple colour; complex multi layered nose. The tiniest sip completely fills the mouth. Velvety unctuous texture. Blueberries definitely the strongest fruit note but very complex. Elegant. Lasts on and on and on. Utterly beautiful. The best wine I have ever tasted.
Deep ruby approaching black in color, this tasting likely suffered by comparison to the brilliant 1986 Mouton Rothschild which preceded it. The nose was a complex mosaic of cherry, dates and plum, with a shadow of spice. Tasting confirmed this brilliant assembly of dynamics and left me pining for the next opportunity to open another bottle. Fantastic juice!
