Pale amber. Dried tropical fruit. Prior tasting notes from others suggest it’s well past it’s prime. Likely so, but hard to argue against it being a well structured wine that is still drinkable. A bit sweet, full bodied and lush. Oak and some caramel.

Light golden green color. Drinking perfect right now. Drinking my 1st of a case. Happy I decided to try now. 10 minutes in and opening up. Hazelnut nose. Love this!

One of two chardonnays served at our wine tasting party- other was a Napa chardonnay from Alpha Omega (2009). The contrast in styles between the two wines was striking. The Martinelli was a much bigger wine, the tropical fruit was the primarily flavor profile. Our friends at the party preferred the Martinelli, largely based upon its stronger fruit profile.
