This is made with two unspecified varieties but surely one of them is riesling, for this pale wine has the terrific cut and almost entirely dry, lime-and-rocks finish of a better mid-Mosel kabinett or halbtrocken. There's a hint of tropical fruit on the nose but mostly it's green apple and white peach there and on the palate. The finish is tangy and long. A fabulous value in addition to being darn good on its own merits. (Earlier today I tasted two middling Oregon whites, a grüner and a pinot blanc, which makes me appreciate the Teutonic lineup that much more.)

Nominee for wine of the year. Absolutely delicious. Low alcohol, great flavor, great balance, wonderful ripe nose.
