Fun, easy drinking, with a hint of dusty mineral/rock tone to keep it interesting. Lots of lighter red fruit and plenty of acidity. Nothing too serious or complex, and actually may do well with a light chill.

Still strikes me as a "luncheon" wine. Holding up ok, if perhaps a bit clipped on the finish, something a bit more fruit depth (youth) might have once counterbalanced. Pleasant enough, but I liked it better a few years ago.

Certainly some bottle variation in terms of the amount of funk - this one had a good dose that didn't blow off in a day or two. Bright, red fruit, sap, herbal/stemmy notes. Interesting evolution - funky, citrusy, mineral, earthy - a lot going on, and yet a great, inexpensive turkey wine.

Opened yesterday. This is still so very tasty, even at 5 yrs old. When I first opened it, a moderate barnyard aroma was front and center, but it blew off after a few hours and gave an interesting earthy aroma and flavor profile over the next day or so. Help up nicely, refreshing acidity and just juicy and delicious red fruits and rocks otherwise. Drink up and enjoy it.
Tried a day later: Fresh with almost a citrus twist on the nose. Red fruited with dirt and chalky, wet rocks. The palate shows such a lively and delicious wine, so gulpable, yet when you stop to ponder, there is a lot to think about. Strawberry and raspberry fruit that is bursting with freshness, alongside moderate spiciness and some menthol notes. The acidity is just scorching for a red wine, and the tannins are there but completely blend into the background, allowing the deliciously ripe red fruit to take center stage. A nice finish that is slightly short, but the next sip isn't far behind. Buy this wine by the case in the future. At $15-16 it is quite a WFTM. Drink this one through 2016. Sooner than later while the deliciousness factor is so high!

Delicious $14 bottle of wine. Plenty of character, with tard red fruit, hints of green, and nice smooth tannins. Very easy drinking.
