Assorted Red Burgs (Vintage Berkeley, Berkeley, CA): Nose is earthy and a bit funky. Earthy palate with tart cherries and tannin. Perhaps in a dumb phase, obviously too young to expect this vineyard to be showing its full potential. Needs time.

Excellent essence of burgundy. Needed a little (about an hour) air to develop full depth. Held well for two days. Fairly light but lots of complexity.
