  A nice finish to a mainly successful set of 1972's, not an easy vintage to cull from. The wine was in good enough shape, a bit fading but showing plenty of peppery, savory red fruit and spice. More interesting than enjoyable, if that makes sense, but really fun and a great way to finish a memorable evening.
